Welcome!

Thanks for joining us on our journey of homeschooling, and living simply yet creatively. As I strive to instill a strong faith in God within my son, we begin each day with the Bible and My Utmost For His Highest (see "Inspiring Books" over there to the right), which in my opinion is the best devotional ever written. Sure he's a little young for this, but he listens to it as much as his 5 Minute Bible Stories. What counts is the recognition of beginning the day with the Word and praying for His guidance throughout the rest of the day. I pray that He guides my every thought, action, and word, each and every day. This is my "Life by the Lamp".
I'll be using this blog as a journal of our activities, trials and triumphs, and things that bring us joy, such as knitting, cooking, canning, fiber animals, horses, our other farm animals, books, nature, and sharing other inspiring blog posts.
